The X Games digital interactive experience extends the traditional linear broadcast into interactive and social platforms (YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, and Caffeine) Leading up to event week, Boombox integrates with the in-house X Games team to help entertain and INTERACT with the millions tuning in on their digital platforms (some are there to watch their heroes, others might have never watched action sports before.) By flexing all the muscles in our streaming arsenal (OBS, properly produced talent, music, graphics & partner obligations) our goal is making sure that everyone online is informed and entertained – and that the audience vibes are riding high.
BREAKING THE FOURTH WALL
The X Games digital alt-cast is special blend of audience familiarity combined with technical experience. It's a mix of talent "tone of voice" with interactive tools like customized polls, chat interactions, subscriber alerts and giveaways - all created with a look that extended the X Games brand for online/streaming platforms without requiring full cycle approvals. While the "Manningcast" by Omaha Productions had set the gold standard for alt-casts (by producing marquee talent in a new way) we're optimistic that what we've helped the X Games create innovates even further; blurring the lines between broadcast and the limitless possibilities of streaming.
